FIBER OPTIC CABLES

SINGLE MICRODUCTS

The Microducts are meant for laying mini-optical fiber cables, are produced by extruding high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and are suitable for laying fibers with “blowing” technique (blowing with compressed air).
The Microducts typically used in telecommunications systems have an internal diameter of 10mm (suitable for laying mini-cables up to 144 or 288 optical fibers) while the thickness is established based on their type of use: 10/12mm microducts (thickness 1mm) to be laid in a pipe and 10/14 mini-tube (thickness 2mm) to be buried directly in a trench underground (Direct-Bury).
